Project: GIS for multiple sensor air-to-ground surveillance and traffic monitoring.
Giulia Battistello is a Marie Curie Research Fellow with the Sensor Data and Information Fusion Department, Fraunhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing and Ergonomics (FKIE). She received the M.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering (Radar and Remote Sensing) from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy, in 2006. After her graduation, she worked at INFOCOM Department, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, where she was involved in research activities on Moving Target Indicator (MTI) techniques applied to airborne single channel SAR images. From 2007 to 2010, she was a Project Engineer with the “D’Appolonia S.p.A.”, being involved in research and industrial projects funded by European and Italian Space Agencies, European Defence Agency, Italian Ministry of Research and Space-Defence companies. Her work is focused on multi-sensor decentralised data fusion algorithms, space radar systems modeling, radar and acoustic data processing.
